ORIGIN STORY

My story started back when I was a kid in Southern California. We didn't have much money, and I learned early on that if you want something, you must work hard. My big moment came at 14 after a massive earthquake hit our area. It left behind a destroyed bungalow with bricks everywhere. My dad pointed to the mess and asked me to clean it up. It seemed impossible at first, but brick by brick, I built a neat stack and felt a surge of pride. That's when I knew I loved building. Years passed, and I tried different things, even working in the film industry for a while. But I always remembered the satisfaction of building something from the ground up. I wanted to create homes where people could make their life-long memories. Like stacking those bricks, I wanted to build strong, beautiful houses that would last.

In 2014, I started MonteVista Homes and am honored to have won many awards, including the Builder of the Year title. We've come a long way from the early days, but one thing has never changed. To this day, I work hard to serve everyone the way I want to be served. And if our team has the honor of building a home for you, please know it's personal to me. When I look back, it’s not surprising that almost 30 years after I first laid those bricks as a kid, I would dedicate my life to building homes and the places where life’s most important relationships will grow and where treasured memories are made.
